Siklis trek is another short trek which begins at Pokhara. It offers an impressive insight into local Gurung culture and unique nature.
The trek falls in the famous Annapurna region and offers splendid views of the highest Himalayas including the world’s seventh highest mountain Mt. Dhualagiri (8,167m) and the world’s tenth highest, Mt. Annapurna I (8091m) as well as the beautiful Mt. Fishtail.
You will be mesmerized by the romantic settings of villages, terraced fields and high alpine meadows. Do observe and experience the culture and lifestyles of the ethnic Gurung people. The Siklis trek is possible during spring and autumn when forests rhododendrons, pines and oaks bloom forth profusely, a heartful affair for any traveler.
Day 01:Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
Day 02:Full day Sightseeing in Kathmandu and overnight at hotel
Day 03:Kathmandu to Pokhara
Day 04:Ghachok, 1 hour drive, 3-4 hours walk, easy day
Day 05:Ghalegang,5-6 hours, flat and then uphill
Day 06:Siklis,6 hours uphill, large Gurung village
Day 07:Rest Day,visit village, walk to viewpoint
Day 08:Riverside Camp,5-6 hours, mostly downhill
Day 09:Kalikasthan,5-6 hours uphill, great views
Day 10:Pokhara,3 hours walk, lunch, 1 hour drive.
Day 11:Pokhara back to Kathmandu
