Nepal perhaps offers the world’s best Mountain Flight. There is no place like Nepal which hosts the greatest congregation of mountains including the world’s tallest peaks.

Often termed a luxurious activity, mountain flight entails taking a 1-hour flight into the air to see the mountains up close and personal. From the comfort of the seat of aircraft, you will be able to experience spectacular views of the Himalayas such as Everest (the world’s highest peak), Cho Oyu, (the world’s sixth highest), Lhotse, Nuptse Gosaithan (also called Shisha Pangma), Dorje Lhakpa, Phurbi Chyachu, Choba Bhamare, Gaurishanker, Melungtse, Chugimago, Numbur, Karyolung, Cho-Oyu, Gyachungkang, Pumori, Nuptse among others.

The planes used for this purpose are mountain flights with a fleet of ATR 72-500, ATR 42-320, and Beechcraft 1900D aircraft 36 seaters where everyone is allowed a window seat to get equal views of the mountains. The flights are operated in the early morning hours from the domestic Terminal wing of Kathmandu International Airport.

Mountain flights can be done throughout the year, however, the best periods are from September to May when the visibility of mountains is clear.
