No wonder thousands of tourists go trekking in Everest every year to see Everest and experience Sherpa hospitality. The Everest trek traverses the classic trail used by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary for their historic summit of Everest in 1953.

Situated North East of Kathmandu, Everest is popular for Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar. You will also get a chance to visit beautiful and vibrant town of Namche Bazaar and Lukla, Tenboche Monastery, Gokyo Lake among others. Everest is one of global hotspots for ecological diversity as it is home to some unique wildlife species. The area is covered forests of rhododendron and pines and is drained by the famous Dudhkoshi and Bhotekoshi rivers. Panoramic views of several snowcapped peaks such as Mount Makalu, Mt. Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam can be easily observed along the trail. Today the region is protected by the establishment of Sagarmatha National Park, which has been listed as a World Heritage Site byUNESCO.

Everest trek begins in Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region, and ends with a challenging walk to Everest Base Camp (5364m). Alternatively, you can also begin the journey to Everest begins from Jiri (a small town in Dolakha district), or by a direct flight Kathmandu to Lukla.

Our trail passes through Sherpa villages with well cultivated fields and small hamlets, interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. We will have a fascinating experience of watching the hustle and bustle of Namche Bazaar- famously called the capital of Sherpas- and a touch of modernity it creates. A few hours walk from Namche would bring us to Thyanboche Monastery, an incredible spiritual center in the heart of Himalayas.

You will have plenty of opportunity to learn Sherpa culture and taste the Himalayan delicacies. Our trek passes through famous viewpoints such as Tenboche Monastery, one of the biggest monasteries in the Everest region. Our trek to Kalapathar (5500m) will offer the best glimpse of Everest not seen from anywhere in the world.

The Everest Trek can be organized at varying times of the year and for different durations. As such, you will have to keep in mind the issue of acclimatization and attractions while setting out your itinerary.

Trekking to Everest is best during Autumn (Sep-Nov) and Spring (Mar-May) for best visibility and natural wonders.
