Trip Introduction

Royal Trek: A Gentle Himalayan Escape Near

The Royal Trek is one of the easiest and most rewarding short treks near Pokhara Valley, perfect for beginners, families, and travelers with limited time. This scenic route gained its name after trekked through the region during his visit to Nepal, adding a royal touch to this peaceful trail.

Your journey begins with a pleasant uphill walk of around two hours to Kalikasthan, where you are welcomed by panoramic mountain views and charming hill villages. From here, the trail unfolds gently through terraced farmlands, lush forests, and traditional settlements, offering a true taste of rural Nepal.

Throughout the trek, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic and the impressive Annapurna range. The relatively low altitude makes this trek comfortable while still delivering stunning Himalayan scenery.

As you continue via Syaklung and Chisapani toward Begnas, you’ll experience authentic village life. A highlight of the Royal Trek is the homestay experience in places like Tarkan and Kaundanda, where you stay with local families, enjoy homemade meals, and learn about their culture and daily lifestyle.

The Royal Trek is ideal for those seeking a short, easy, and culturally rich trekking experience without venturing into high altitudes. It beautifully combines mountain views, warm hospitality, and peaceful countryside landscapes all within easy reach of Pokhara.
