Everest Base Camp Trek

Are you looking forward to starting Everest Base Camp Trekking, as Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa did back in 1953. The highest trekking routes the world can offer. It is an adventure of a lifetime! Initially, you will have to take a short beautiful, and adventurous flight from TIA(KTM) to Lukla airport which takes roughly about 35minutes. Generally, Lukla airport is considered one of the most adventurous Airports around the world. The airport is actually situated in the Lukla valley at the lap of the mountain cliff which is the adventure in itself.  Lukla offers the fresh northern Himalayan environment, green rolling hills in the south, and a distant view of mighty Mt. Everest. And from Lukla, your trek starts or if you have time and have the desire to explore the variety of terrain along the way, you can drive Kathmandu to Bhandara through  Jiri and start afoot.

How long will it take to reach Everest Base camp?

Generally, for Everest base camp trekking, there are varieties of itineraries but we provide the package which takes mostly 10 to 18 days including the acclimatization days. The duration mostly depends upon the quality of a person's walking ability. We would like to recommend you have a few spare days if you are making your trip via Air to the Everest region because normally Lukla flights get delayed due to high altitude mountain weather and air traffic issues.

How difficult is Everest Base Camp Trek

Even in the Himalayan terrain of the Khumbu region, people from all demographic regions can easily complete the Everest Base Camp Trek. Its status is a moderate trip grading so you don’t have to need much trekking experience to complete this trek. You will mostly have to do uphill and downhill trekking in relative flatlands. The clothing depends on the weather condition up to altitude. Clothes like a down jacket, a pair of jumpers, inner thermal coat, warm gloves, socks, sunglasses, cap, a pair of hiking or trekking boots, slippers, sunblock cream, woolen hat, etc should be mandatory. Spare Clothes and unwanted object should be excluded as it increases the weight of your backpack which can reduce the quality of walking.

How are the Accommodation facilities of Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest region is one of the popular trekking destinations around the globe. An accommodation facility varies according to the trip you book and the time of the year you travel. Most trekkers use the normal way of accommodation but in the peak season there can be less room and the trekker has to use a tent and sleep beneath the wide starry sky. As it is situated in a high-altitude rural area the toilets are not attached in the rooms so you should prefer outside toilets. Normal rooms are available too but you
have to pay extra cash for the luxury you want up there.

Note: We will come up with a new message on the occasion of the new year 2022.
