1400m

Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. The evening includes a full trek briefing, gear check, and permit preparation. Overnight in Kathmandu hotel.

Hotel

Your adventure begins with a thrilling 30-minute mountain flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla, one of the world’s most dramatic airstrips, surrounded by towering peaks. From Lukla, you begin your trek downhill through pine forests and terraced farmland to the riverside village of Phakding. Approx. 3–4 hours trekking.

3440m

Today’s trail enters the Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, where you’ll receive your park permit check. You’ll cross several iconic suspension bridges above the roaring Dudh Koshi River before the steep climb up to Namche Bazaar — the vibrant hub of the Khumbu region, filled with bakeries, gear shops, and stunning mountain views. Approx. 5–6 hours trekking.

3440

A rest day is essential here to help your body adapt to the altitude. Your guide will lead you on a short acclimatization hike up to the Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for your first breathtaking panorama of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Explore the local market, Sherpa Culture Museum, and Namche’s lively cafés.

Tea House Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

3860m 5-6 hours walk

The trail today winds through rhododendron and juniper forests with increasingly dramatic mountain views. The highlight is reaching Tengboche Monastery — the largest and most sacred monastery in the Khumbu, perched on a ridge with a jaw-dropping backdrop of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Attend an evening prayer ceremony if available. Approx. 5–6 hours trekking.

4410m 5-6 hours walk

Descending through Pangboche, home to one of the oldest monasteries in the region, the trail enters the upper Imja Valley and opens into alpine terrain. The vegetation thins as you gain altitude, and the views of Ama Dablam become increasingly spectacular. Approx. 5–6 hours trekking.

Tea House Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

4410m

Another critical acclimatization day. Your guide leads an optional hike up to Nagarjun Hill (5,100m), offering sweeping 360° views of Island Peak, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu. This “climb high, sleep low” technique is key to safe altitude acclimatization. Rest and hydrate well in the afternoon.

Tea House

4,940m 4-5 hours walk

The landscape becomes starker and more dramatic as you pass memorials to climbers lost on Everest. The towering walls of the Khumbu Glacier begin to dominate the view, and the air grows noticeably thinner. Approx. 4–5 hours trekking.

Tea House Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

6-7 hours

The most anticipated day of the trek. After breakfast at Gorak Shep, you set off across the rocky moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to reach Everest Base Camp — the famous jumping-off point for Everest summit expeditions. Take in the sea of expedition tents, prayer flags, and the sheer scale of the Khumbu Icefall. Return to Gorak Shep for the night. Approx. 6–7 hours total.

Tea House Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

5545 6 hours walk

Wake before dawn for the steep hike to Kala Patthar, the finest viewpoint in the Khumbu. As the sun rises over Everest (8,849m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Nuptse (7,861m), you’ll witness one of the most iconic mountain panoramas on earth. Descend to Gorak Shep, then board your private helicopter back to Kathmandu, soaring over glaciers and Himalayan peaks. Enjoy a celebratory dinner in Kathmandu.
