Ganesh Himal Trek – overview

Ganesh Himal Trek

Ganesh Himal Trek is one of the few Himalayan ranges that can be seen from Kathmandu Valley. It stands out among a group of lesser peaks primarily for its distinct shape, which resembles the trunk of an elephant. Ganesh Himal lies between the Langtang and Manaslu ranges and consists of four major peaks: Ganesh I, II, III, and IV.

Trekking into the laps of Ganesh Himal is an enchanting mix of culture, adventure, and nature. The trail passes through dense forests of berberis, primula, orchids, ferns, jasmine, oak, blue pine, and rhododendron. We will also observe glaciers, gorges, and natural spas en route. The highest point of the trek is Shing La Pass, which at 4,600m offers splendid views of not just Langtang and Manaslu massifs but also the beautiful surrounding glaciers.

At the centre of the Ganesh Himal trek rests the culture of the Tamang community and their typical Himalayan culture.
