Langtang Trekking

Langtang trekking is one of the most accessible trekking areas offering the vast natural gifts for trekkers. This region lies to the north of Kathmandu and the south of Tibet. Langtang trekking starts from Kathmandu to Trisuli River, Trisuli Bazaar, Dhunche to Syabrubensi to Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu. Where Tamang and Sherpa people are residing with varied cultures, costumes, languages festivals and rituals which quinch the thirst of on lookers. It takes seven to ten hours bus ride or two days walking to Dunche from Kathmandu. Langtang valley offers spectacular scenes of snow peaks, glaciers, moraine, holy lakes like Gosainkunda (4,380m) crossing the Laurebinayak Pass (4,300m), the famous pilgrimage for Hindus and even for Buddhists. A day rest at Kyagjing gompa allows the time for the exploration of glaciers in higher valley and small peak climbs.

Langtang is a narrow valley among snow capped mountains. Trekkers can have a close view of Langtang Lirung (7,246m) dominates the valley to north Gangchhenpo (6,388m ) and Naya Kangri (5,846m ) to the south and Dorje Lakpa ( 6,966m ) to the east of the Langtang valley. Additional to these, an oak and rhododendron forest with moraine provides you glorious memories. Langtang trekking was the first National park of Nepal in 1971 and third most popular trekking region in Nepal.
