INTRODUCTION OF EVEREST BASE CAMP TREKKING:
Everest base camp is one of the well-known trekking routes of Nepal that passes through the area of Sagarmatha National park which is the UNESCO World Heritage site. It has also been listed as famous trekking journey of Nepal offering an adventurous life, mountain climbing and wonderful spectacular close view of Mt.Everest; the tallest mountain in the world standing at an altitude of 8848m. Through this trek, you will visit a Sherpa village (Khumbu, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche and Dingboche) where you get a chance to observe Sherpa culture, lifestyle and their traditions. The trek also involves the vantage point of Kalapathar (5500m) which offers panoramic views of the majestic peak (Mt.Everest, Mt. Choyu, Mt.Nubche, and Mt. Lhotse). Along with this visit, you can also visit Khumbu glacier, icefall and Everest view hotel which are the famous notable places in this area.
HOW TO GET TO THE TRAILHEAD?
To access for this trek you will a have short beautiful flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport which takes 35minutes. Generally, Lukla airport is considered a adventures airport in the world. Lukla offers the fresh Himalayan environment, green rolling hills and distant view of Mt. Everest. The airport is located in the Lukla valley at the lap of the mountain. And from Lukla, your trek starts or if you have time, you can drive Kathmandu to Bhandara and start a walk.
HOW LONG THE DURATION OF EVEREST BASE CAMP TAKES?
Actually, for Everest base camp trekking, there are several itineraries but we provide the package for 10 to 18 days including the acclimatization days. We never try to escape acclimatization. The duration also depends upon the quality of person walk. If some of them walk faster than he/she could easily end his/her journey in 10 days. We also would like to recommend you to have some spare days if you are making your trip to Everest region because normally Lukla flight get delayed due to mountain weather.
HOW HIGH IS EVEREST BEST CAMP?
During Everest base camp trek you pass through several destinations with several heights. This trek occupies height from 1400 to 5545m. The starting point of your trek is Lukla that is on the height of 2860m, Namche at 3440m, Lobuche at 4920m and Everest best camp at 5364m. The highest height of this trek is Kalapathar stands on altitude 5545m. Acclimatization is very necessary during this trek because as we go faster to the higher elevation, then there will be chances of getting altitude sickness.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR EVEREST CAMP TREK?
First and foremost for Everest base camp trek
you require trekking clothes which is one of the significant things to know before starting the trip to Everest Base Camp. The clothing depends on the weather condition. Clothes like a down jacket, a pair of a jumper, inner thermal coat, warm gloves, socks, sunglasses, cap, a pair of hiking or trekking boots, slippers, sun block cream, woollen hat etc should be packaged. The weather in the daytime is normally sunny and warm and in the evening, night, morning the weather is cold. So, I would like to recommend you to bring a personal sleeping bag if you have. For Everest trek, more prevention is needed.
HOW IS THE ACCOMMODATION OF EVEREST BASE CAMP?
Though Everest region is one of the popular trekking destinations, accommodation facilities various according to the trip you book. Normally most of the trekkers used normal accommodation. Every accommodation, the toilets are not attached so you should prefer outside toilets. Here, Normal accommodation also provides clean rooms, bed and toilets. Instead of the normal room if you prefer using luxury accommodation you have to pay extra amounts and book earlier.

Day 03:Kathmandu to Lukla 2805m by plane (25-35 minutes flight) . And trek to Phakding 2610m
Day 04:Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440m.
Day 05:Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar 3440m.
Day 06:Namche Bazar to Khumjung 3780m
Day 07:Khumjung to Panboche via Porche 3901m.
Day 08:Pangboche to Dingboche 4410 m.
Day 09:Second acclimatization day at Dingboche 4410 m.
Day 10:Dingboche to Lobuche 4910 m.
Day 11:Lobuche to Everest Base Camp 5364m via Gorakshep 5180m.
Day 12:Gorakshep to Kala Patthar 5545m. and trek to Pherich 4240m.
Day 13:Pheriche to Tyangboche 3860m.(one of the biggest Monastery in Khumbu region where hundreds becoming monks live)
Day 14:Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar 3440m
Day 15:Namche Bazaar to Lukla 2805m.
Day 16:Lukla to Kathmandu fly
Day 17:Rest and shopping in Kathmandu
